#Prayer – #Pray for the Family of Gladys Sophia Latimer

Gladys Sophia Latimer, age 98, of Ellicott City, passed away, Friday, November 18, 2016, at Gilchrist Hospice Center, Columbia. Born July 20, 1918, in Waynesboro, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry S. Gaver and Ada R. Dubel Gaver. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth A. Latimer who died in 1989. Gladys retired from the Howard County Public School System where she had been a dietician. She was a member of Rockland United Methodist Church. Gladys enjoyed gardening and spending time with family. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Louis L. and Dawn Latimer of Sykesville; grandchildren, Danny Latimer and his wife Katie, Christine Latimer and Gregory Latimer his wife Tamara and great-granddaughters, Erika, Amy and Miriam. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10am. Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. Patricia Abell. Interment will follow in Old Oakland Cemetery, Sykesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gilchrist Hospice Services of Howard County, 11311 McCormick Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
